FAQ
The Orthossage Program
What is The Orthossage Program? At Orthossage our main focus before your first session is to give hope. We have many patients who were failed by western medicine and are looking for any last alternative. Pain management specialist in rehabilitation, maintenance & prevention to future injuries by what we like to call, in house, your Bodies Gate DNA. Your goal is ours to help you reach, hence why we call you an Orthossage Team Member; because you are also an advocate to helping your body. Depending on the integrity of the patient including scar tissue- duration of pain & overall health results may vary. Stretches & proactive modalities will be given to the patient for homework which we call the Plan Of Action. Anything we can teach you at home for free, we will provide. Leave the rest to us. After your first session, we will discuss in further detail of what your outcome may be. The program is most common to be between 3 to 8 weeks long given if scar tissue is present, the type of injury and team effort of your commitment of at home care what we call your Plan Of Action, results may vary. We utilize modalities when deemed therapeutically necessary to assist your treatment.
Kinesio Tape Provides support, stability and lymphatic drainage to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion, as well as prolonging the benefits administered in clinic.
Guasha A press-stroking tool applied to the bodies surface to intentionally raise blood stagnation and eliminate pathogenic waste.
Cupping Used to draw stagnated blood that congest the area and allows fresh blood to flow through the area of injury. Inflammation and blistering is common.
Orthossage Therapy An advanced massage technique that naturally aligns muscles back to their original position. We focus our attention to needed areas, working minimally or passing over healthy muscles. These counterbalancing techniques are what makes our manual therapy so successful.
Thaissage / Stretching Consist of rocking and twisting, joint and spine mobilizations assisted by stretches with the practitioner using their feet, elbow or hands. Assisted movements will need the therapist to be on the table and in close contact with the patient to ensure stability of the joints. Orthossage Program After your first session, we are then able to discuss further detail of what your outcome may be. The program is most common to be between 3 to 8 weeks long given if scar tissue is present, the type of injury and team effort of your commitment of at home care what we call your Plan Of Action, results may vary. CRYOTHERAPY What is Cryotherapy? Involves sitting or standing in a “cryochamber” for up to 3 minutes.
